Pearson Pennant
National flag badge from Canada,
the design was never adopted for use in Canada but held a great deal of political support at the time
-
swiss, cut edge, rectangular, unnamed; Flag with 3 red maple leaves & 2 blue vertical stripes on white background
-there was the great, new Canadian Flag debate in the early 1960’s as Canada approached its 100
th
Anniversary in 1967
-it is my understanding that
Boy Scouts of Canada
made the decision to produce this badge during the debate specifically for the Scouters attending the
11
th
World Jamboree
being held in
Marathon, Greece
in 1963
