Open Lepine case without hinges, 0.900 silver mark and manufactory hallmark, cuvette silvered, case shape "Lucia". Case is in mint condition
Dial Silver plated, 35 hours power reserve indicator, decentralized seconds, original, blued steel Spade hands, dial and hands are perfectly preserved.
Movement: Grained and gilded, cal. 48/21 lines, very rare antimagnetic palladium hairspring, 16 jewels, swan neck fine regulation, sunburst winding wheels, large gold screws compensation balance, mirror polished steel parts, signed VEB-Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe No. 208 372. The clean movement is in mint condition, finished and regulated on August 29, 1969. quality seal Q1,

The pictured original case and museum certificate is part of the offer.
It was sold September 05, 1969 to the Versorgungskontor Stralsund. Movement design and case document the uniform equipment of the B-watches of cal. 48 intended at the beginning of production.
Series production of B-watches began at A. Lange & Söhne in October 1940 with movement number 200,000. Production of Caliber 48 B-watches and observation chronometers continued in Glashütte shortly after the end of the war by the volksbetrieb GUB Glashütte, which was created from the nationalization of Lange & Söhne. In 1969, the last B-watch was completed in the VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe.
