Description
I am pleased to offer this old and original, estate fresh daguerreotype of ethnic/black woman. This was acquired with the Reverend George Potts photo group I have listed separately in another auction. This woman is not identified but possibly a slave or servant of the Potts family from there time in Natchez, Mississippi. The photo is a 1/6 plate. It is in it's original seal. I peeled back only one side of gold foil, but it clearly has never been removed. The image is in about good condition with spotting, tarnish and wear commensurate with age. The case is fair to good. The cover is not detached, but nearly so. A most unique image, with great display potential. The photos are an integral part of my description. They will give an accurate representation, and best tell the story. View additional pics following my description. Kindly email any specific questions, comments or need for additional photos. I am happy to combine purchases to save you on shipping. U.S. BIDDERS ONLY!! Please read my Terms and Conditions before placing a bid. USPS Priority mailing. The handling charge, if any, is merely to cover insurance. Thank You.TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
