This is an Vintage 1945 Hamilton open face pocket watch.
This watch case measures approximately 44.5 mm in diameter/ 10.5 mm in thickness, front to back.
The case is stamped 14K and looks to be in very good condition. There is a tiny dent on the case edge at the 8 minute mark.
The front crystal bezel is press set. The crystal has a raised edge, and is in very good condition.
The front bezel has a concave grooved band surround around the crystal. The most ornate feature of this case is the bail/bow, which has a subtle French provincial feel to it.
The case back is plain, Brush finished with three vertical block font letters engraved "HFF"
The dial of this watch is brushed gold in color, with a bit of tiny spotting, mostly around the number 12. The face is a single sunk dial, with arabic numerals
marking the 12 hours. The outside edge of the dial has minute ticks set in a fine line double border, with heavier ticks at the five minute intervals. The hands are blued steel lance style.
The sweep second hand is very fine, blue steel, lance style
This beautiful timepiece is 76 years old, it is complete, and running just fine.
This appears to be a classic "Retirement Gold Watch" back when companies honored their employees for years of loyal service. This one was bestowed by the Koehler Company to
Harry F.Frolich for 25 years of loyal service from 1920 to 1945

bracketing
a coat of arms that reads "Hamilton Watch Co." inside the dust cover the case is stamped 14K.
